Li Auto i6 (2026)理想 i6(2026 款)

A 2026 refresh that keeps the starting price and changes the hardware underneath: an in-house 96 kWh LFP pack replaces the previous battery, an in-house Mach M100 chip replaces Nvidia Thor-U, and rear-drive CLTC range rises to 780 km.

Same price, in-house hardware

The 2026 i6 launched on 28 October 2026 with deliveries due in early November. Li Auto held the starting price at RMB 249,800 and the all-wheel-drive price at RMB 269,800, with an introductory RMB 239,800 available until 30 November. Underneath, the changes are substantial: the previous 87.3 kWh pack is replaced by a 96 kWh in-house “Lianshan” LFP pack with 5C charging, and Nvidia’s Thor-U compute is replaced by Li Auto’s own Mach M100.

This is a vertical-integration story as much as a product update. The range gain — 780 km CLTC for the rear-drive car — comes from a larger pack rather than a new body. Buyers should treat the unchanged price as a competitive decision, not as evidence that the hardware is unchanged.

02

The volume model under pressure

The i6 is Li Auto’s battery-electric volume model. In September 2026 it recorded 7,379 units, down 56.54% month on month, while the company built its 200,000th i6 on 30 October. It accounted for roughly 23% of Li Auto’s September deliveries. Those figures describe a model that matters commercially but was losing momentum before the refresh.

A monthly sales number is a dated market result, not a quality score. It can reflect price changes, competitive launches, production allocation or demand seasonality. The useful question for a buyer is whether the 2026 changes address the reasons the previous car lost ground — range, charging, equipment or price — and whether the local offer matches the Chinese specification.

03

The 5C charging claim

Li Auto says the 96 kWh pack supports 5C charging and that ten minutes adds about 500 km. The company has not published a peak charging power figure for this version, and no independent test is cited here. A 5C rate describes the pack’s capability relative to its capacity; it does not guarantee that a given public charger can supply that power or that the car will sustain it across the charging window.

For a buyer, the practical questions are which chargers near home or on regular routes can deliver the required power, how the car behaves in cold weather, and what charging guidance Li Auto gives for daily use. The 500 km claim should be read as a manufacturer test result until independent data exists.

04

Five seats, not an L-series clone

At 4,950 mm long with a 3,000 mm wheelbase, the i6 is a five-seat SUV with a 724-litre boot. It is not a shortened six-seat L-series car: the body, seating and packaging are different. Dual-chamber air suspension is standard, and the cabin is built around a 29-inch 6K display with a Snapdragon 8797 processor.

The i6 competes with the IM Motors LS8 NEO and the Denza N8 on size and price, but the three cars make different choices. The LS8 offers six seats, the N8 offers a much larger optional battery and a five-seat layout, and the i6 emphasises in-house hardware and a lower entry price. A comparison should start with seats and charging access, not with the longest range claim.

05

From Beijing to Oslo — eventually

Li Auto has said the i6 will be sold in Europe as the “Li 6”, starting in Norway and the Netherlands in the first quarter of 2027. That is a stated plan, not a current offer. It does not establish a local price, homologated specification, warranty or service network today.

For an overseas buyer, the Chinese figures in this dossier should be treated as context. The export version may differ in battery, charging equipment, assistance features and equipment packaging. Ask the local seller for the dated specification and warranty documents that apply to the vehicle being delivered.

06

What is not confirmed

Li Auto has not published a peak charging power, an official drag coefficient or October sales for the 2026 i6. Figures such as a 0.21 drag coefficient circulate in enthusiast discussion but are not in the company’s material and are not repeated here as fact. The European launch timing is a plan with no announced price.

This page uses the September 2026 sales figure because it is the most recent monthly result verified at the time of writing. It describes the pre-refresh car, not the 2026 model’s first month.
